Lean Culture:
Most challenges with organizational change are cultural rather than technical. That's why developing a Lean Culture is an important part of becoming Lean. It requires cultural changes in both leaders and workers. Since people naturally tend to resist change, there are many potenial stumbling blocks. In this one-day workshop, you will develop skills to support culture change, learn methods to develop leadership and discover employee involvement techniques used to manage and preserve the gains created by lean manufacturing.

Will help first line supervisors and managers understand the keys to success in a lean manufacturing environment. Participants will learn a number of tools for practical applications in their own workplace. The purpose of this class is to understand and address certain cultural changes required to assure a successful transformation to a lean manufacturing environment. Participants will learn how to apply effective personal and professional leadership skills, understand communication and learning styles and apply this knowledge to achieve maximum results. Additionally, they will learn proven methodologies for leading teams and managing change. This includes developing skills in empowerment, setting performance expectations, constructive feedback and corrective action. Skills learned in these sessions will also help participants address their own needs in the changing role of managers and supervisors in the lean environment.
